i always thought that if i had a wish, it would be to play the part of mercy and do the 'subway tunnel' scene with swan!!!Ranchgal wrote:I agree it wasn't---but Swan was so intense-SIGH--IT was wonderful to see!!
Just my own thought there---LOL--can't help it!!!![]()
The only scene where I really get a romantic twinge is in the train car---when he takes her hand down from combing her hair---his thinking of her, and showing her she had nothing to be embarrassed about--and the pride in who he was and helping her find hers---THAT qualified as romantic in my book!! The flower thing, where he hands it to her, was nice---but that didn't strike me as much as in the traincar.
i agree again ranchgal, the scene in the subway car when he pushes her hand down is a very romantic gesture, and it keeps in character for swan. i never did like the 'flower' scene. i always felt that it was out of character for him and just added to show a softside. swan dragging her around, especially bringing her back to coney, is enough to let us know that he has some feelings for her. he also tells her to cut out the back before the fight goes down with the rogues. if he didn't care, he probably would have wanted an extra hand to help in the confrontation, after all, she tells him,' i can take care of myself, i proved that!'... mercy goes against just about everything he tells her to do, and he still stays with her.
another scene that i felt was out of character was when they were talking in the arcade and he tells her, 'i was kinda rough on you back there.' i think that was unnecessary. i can't see him apologizing for doing what he thought was right. 8)
