Regarding the famous spraypainted "Warriors" logo so visible in publicity shots, the building it appeared on was demolished around 1992. Interestingly, the logo remained throughout the rest of the building's existence. It was formerly a bathhouse, called, I believe, Stauch's.

i did the 'follow the warriors' route thing after i saw the movie. this was probabaly around 1981 or so. took the subway to the big CI and stood under the boardwalk were the warriors hear luther clinking the bottles. i took a picture looking out at stauch's bathhouse. also took a ride on the wonderwheel.

Too bad you didn't get a picture of the other side where the logo was.

never did see the wall with the spray painted 'warriors' on it. and that would have been pretty hard to miss. but then again, it was the early eighties
a couple tips if anyone is considering doing the tour bit. don't bring along someone else unless they're really into the movie also. with so many cool things to do in NYC, the people i was with didn't get as excited over subway platforms, parks and the seedier parts of town as i did. also, the security and police freaked out when i tried to take some pictures in the subway, i guess that's a big no-no. probably more so now after 9-11.
the ride from downtown manhatten to CI was long.
also, it would have been nice to have had more info on the location shots too. for the most part we were just going by the movie and winging it. all in all, i had a GREAT time!!!

Marcelino Sanchez, who plays the timid Rembrandt in the film, was shot and killed in 1992.

I have a candid still shot that I just love, that I got from a movie place, that has the logo wall, with Michael Beck aka Swan, crouched down against it, with a book in his hand. He is in his black pants with his vest on, and it is one of my favorite Warrior pictures. You don't get the whole wall though, just his corner of it, so you can't read Warriors or anything like that.
