Why do you have to have an admin approve your account.

Why do you have to wait 'till an admin approves your account. Nobody is ever on. The most I have seen is 5 people online. But now I only see 2 people. I have waited a full week for my my game forum account. Still no reply. Can't we just have it like....

You get to go onto your account when its created.
When an admin comes on, they see your account.
They can either: Delete it or let it pass.
So I am saying that we can go on our account but as soon as an admin gets on they get told, if they do not approve, they can either delete or message. I just think its better that way. But hey, its your decision admins....

There's a lot of spam email addresses on the net. They usually sign up automatically on unprotected forums, and start posting spam straight away. I guess that is one of the reasons why you need to wait for admin to approve your account.

Typically, for each legitimate account registered, there are five or ten spam accounts, which need to be weeded out individually. Allowing open registration would cause the site to be inundated with ads for pirated DVDs and penis enlargement pills within 24 hours. Trust me, it's better this way.
