Neil Marshall is a fan of Walter Hill and The Warriors.  Evidence shown in his last movie, Doomsday, where he paid homage to the Turnbull bus chase scene, and i'm sure there's a baseball fury in the crowd at the bbq scene.

Just to confirm: The baseball fury thats seen in Doomsday is the yellow face and black eye paint design.  He's at the front of the crowd towards the left of the screen when all the crowd are giving the "dirty bird" finger salute and shouting F***you.

Sorry, couldn't get a screen shot from an avi file.  It just came out blank when I tried it.
