What would happen...

Hi guys, haven't been on here in a while... but I still love the warriors =D
So thinking of a topic to get going I got to thinking about how things would've gone if The Warriors was a big hit and had to have a sequel. I'm sure this has been a topic and lots of us have speculated what we would like to happen next. Props to Lady Warriors fan fictions for that as well. But I was thinking if it really had happened, like Warriors became a film franchise....
I think for an early 80s sequel to The Warriors there would have been 2 directions it could've gone in and yes they are clichés. Either there's the next generation type idea: a whole new set of warriors or even a different gang, or of course a spin off for a different gang would kinda fit into that idea eg. Furies or Riffs.
Or there'd be the godfather 3 type deal of Swan and Mercy trying to get outta the city and "the life they got left", all the gang stuff, only to get dragged back in for one more adrenaline fuelled night. This could involve, as in Lady Warriors story, Mercy's murder and have a revenge plot.
Less likely I think for the time would be a prequel, like the game with the characters forming The Warriors and recruiting members with some plot I dunno what lol, like the rival Destroyers thing I guess. This would be cool because they could bring back the actors of the film such as Dorsey Wright, Tom Waites, James Remar etc, (and Roger Hill if it lead into the main plot) and a whole new bunch of characters.
So yeah I dunno I'm sure you all have ideas, I love thinking about if there'd been a couple more Warriors films around '82-83, that would be cheesier and not as good but still Warriors!!
...and please please come up with some cheesey 1980s sequel titles, they were the best !
