Do you think it's a nod to the urban legend of Cropsey from the Staten Island area?

For a short time, I lived on Cropsey Ave, in Brooklyn, minutes away from Coney -- the use of the name might be a reference to that Kings County avenue...

its starts in Dyker Heights runs through Bensonhurst and ends in Coney island at Neptune ave
