My Halloween prop...

Post by TCM Hitchhiker »

So, I am going as a member of The Warriors, from the film of the same name, for Halloween. It is a rather plain costume really, so I needed a prop. I wanted a switchblade, since it is one of the prominent weapons used in the film, but switchblades are extremely illegal in Illinois, especially to carry. So I decided to modify a switchblade comb, and give it a plastic blade. Here is the result....

Image

Turned out pretty good, and I gotta say, it is still pretty deadly even with the plastic blade.

So whatcha think?

Hopefully Im wrong, but that might be considered a switchblade/weapon with the modification you have done. Nonetheless its pretty cool I like it.

You may very well be right. I will probably only use it at my friends Halloween party. If I go elsewhere, I will keep it out of plain view. But I gotta say, if I get busted with it, it would be too damn funny.

I wonder what the charge would be..."Unlawful concealment and possession of a converted switch blade comb"??? Even with the plastic blade in it I doubt it's illegal; however, I wouldn't want a cop to see it, especially on Halloween night...

Damn man...that brings back some memories...

I used to have one JUST like that back in the day that I used to carry in my right boot along with a butterfly knife in my left. Those were the good 'ol days where you didn't usually have to worry about bringing a knife to a gun fight...

Just don't get shot up by the cops like the kids who carry around fake guns that look real!
