This of course is to stop the production of the 2006 remake of the original 1979 film. Spread the word.

No fake signatures. last name and location would be good. gang affiliation optional.

Are you kidding??? not only will the movie get played out, and corny, where everyone and their grandmothers are gonna think its "cool", and we get bombarded with commercials and specials on mtv about it. but theyre also keeping walter hill from being part of it... Its known that MTV(with their partnership with Paramount) makes BAD movies, for example:

crossroads w/ britany spears
orange county
200 cigarettes
save the last dance
varsity blues
sk8er boi (2005)

And how can you even think... that there is such thing as a good remake of a cult classic.

the remake of "Texas Chainsaw Masacre" - bad
remake of "Psycho" w/ vince vaughn - bad
remake of "Dawn of the Dead" - bad!

my point is made.... Get ready for the Warriors clothing line at your local urban outfitters!

I know what you mean Breathe, but it doesn't mean the movie won't be good. Texas Chainsaw remake was good even though it was very different from the original. I agree with you 100% on the clothing line thing and I hate MTV to begin with. If they stick with the plot and same style of the movie it will be good. If they don't then it will be a piece of junk.

I hate to break it to you, Cyrus, but no petition will stop the movie. I am sure too much money has been pumped into it already. And we are talking Hollywood here where the almighty dollar counts...if they think the movie can make a $100 million plus it wouldn't matter if they had ten petitions. The best we can hope for is a decent movie. If it's crap, the original will look that much better and a whole new generation might discover the old film.

YEa that might be true swan but it's the Jackass guys that came up with all the stunts so they're the ones that really made the movie. VH1 is better than MTV.

when they remade dawn of the dead people were saying that it was better than the original and crap like that, and i was really annoyed because the remake sucks compared to the original.

What if this happens with the warriors remake?I bet they wont even know its a remake!

hmm.. ive mixed views on the remakin of the flim...

its gonna ruin it for us who love it, cos lil kids are gonna be runnin around with warriors t-shirts, theres gonna be action man and barbie warriors, warriors everything, mabye even a warriors cartoon series, ANYTHING big companies can make money off.

its the same with music, i dunno about any of ye, but im extremely territorial about my music.

i used to like slipknot.... then there was a massive teeny bopper boom with lil kids goin around with slipknot hoodies and stuff.. instantly killed my liking of em...

I used to listen to beat it by michael jackson for the solo about 3 million times a day... till i pointed out the solo to a friend, and now its spreadin like scabies... all me friends sayin "ah i love this solo"

i have a load of sayins of me own (as we irish do) but i dont use em anymore.. cos ppl started robbin em...

ive got many more examples and the list goes on

it just pisses me off and ruins everything when something goes mainstream.. I like it when im walkin around in me warriors t shirt and ppl dunno what it is, and it brings a smile to the face of the few ppl that do.

so.. im gonna sign it..

Here's the thing: Magic happens and no one knows why. Hollywood could remake a number of movies. The Wizard of Oz for example. It would be technically magnificent and they could get an all star cast. But the original would be much better anyway. The Warriors(1979), for whatever the reason, was a little piece of magic. You could have Guy Ritchie direct a remake with Jude Law as Swan and Nick Cannon as Rembrandt and the people who would go see it would forget about it in 1 month. But our movie will still be admired in 20 years.

Sopt on.

Assault on precint 13 is the best example i can think of.

Original is a classic. Remake is available in the bargain bucket at your local DVD store.
