I just noticed one of the backdrops on the SE DVD (the first one behind Walter Hill) is one of Rembrandt with a chain. All the backdrops tend to be from scenes in the film so would someone like to enlighten me!

I looked at the intro and all the featurettes and Walter is in front of a drawing of Rembrandt and everybody else but no chain. What is Walter talking about when the chain is showing?

I have attached a picture of the backdrop. Somewhere on the DVD, either the camera has moved, or Hill leans over, but Rembrandt is holding a chain. Looking at it, who is the guy over Swan's shoulder?

Hopefully everyone should see it now. I think I have managed to fix all the access permissions for everyone at last so you should now all be able to post / reply etc.

I noticed that Rembrandt holds a chain in that backround, and the two people behind Swan are Snow and It looks to me like Cowboy.

The guy behind Swan could be Cowboy, or a really bad likeness to Fox, and I think they put Rembrandt's head on Cochise's body from the Punk fight scene, cause Cochise got a hold of a chain sometime then if I remember right. Either way the person who drew the backgrounds got all to carried away with the comic look, I know RanchGal and WarriorChick'll kill me but they put way too much detailing on Swan's muscles he's starting to look all mutant-like, and Rembrandt is overly muscular it doesn't really look like him.

I think it may be just a drawing of the characters. It has what looks like a Baseball Fury in the background and Mercy was never around the Baseball Furies, was she?

I still don't see the chain in the picture you've posted.

That's because you can't see it! It's hidden behind Walter Hill, but I can't find the shot where you can see it.

that's OK Harley, i've always said, 'you can never be too rich, or have too many muscles!' =P~
i think i'll try and dig out my dvd from storage and look at it. it just looks like two faces mashed together to me.

I think those characters are based on the game characters. I myself didn't see any enthusiasm in Walter himself, I think he didn't care for the artwork, so again I think those are the game characters. That is my opinion. I can't make anything about the chain.

Yeah man, I'm sorry. I gave it 100% effort and I can't come up with anything.Â

If you're still wondering when you can see a full version of that picture, its right after the opening with narration of the Greek story.
I don't even think that guy looks like Rembrant, maybe they put Snow in there twice by mistake?
