does anybody know where that view was shot before Swan says "this is what we fought all night to get back to"...and it wasn't Coney Island/Stillwell Ave station view...I've been there and haven't seen that same view
Looking from Stilwell in that direction, I had a hard time seeing what was supposedly shown in the film.
I had been through New Utrecht station a few times, but y'day, I stopped and walked around. As a train junkie, I thought it was a cool place. You have the D which is elevated (the train where Vermin said "Hey, wait a minute. I gotta ask...."). And the N runs diagonally underneath, below street level (those tracks and platforms are visible, because they run through a cut).
The station house, where they barged in, is at one end of the cut (there's an interlocking tower above it, at the end of the D platform). At the other end of the cut is another station house just like it.
From the N platform, outbound, you see the backside of a factory bldg overlooking the station. I think it was seen before Ajax grabbed Mercy.
One thing I thought was goofy was when they got on the D, that train had
left CI, but the camera people must have thought the angle was better there than for the outbound.
You guys still awake? lol
