I have been to california, and new mexico and havent seen a warriors item never!!!
I only see the warriors movie in a little corner in blockbuster, why????
Scarface is pretty popular, and i even saw a poster of west sise story i dont know why isnt this movie known!!! People wear scarface shirts but why not the warriors!!! THIS GETS ME PRETTY MAD!!
Here's a tip- when a movie/ tv show has a HUGE cult following, but no merch...items start to squeeze in around the cracks in the 'grey' market called eBay. (search for firefly/serenity shirts...you'll see what I mean).
Why, there's a little site called http://WWW.WARRIORSMOVIE.CO.UK that has a selection of Warriors shirts and posters for sale RIGHT NOW! Why, it's located on their 'store' page!
I figured a whole lot of merchandise would come to stores along with the sweet ass game and the new DVD, but I guess people just don't care enough about The Warriors...

warriors isn't that maketable i supose it is about gangs after alll
It's like David Harris said one time "You got a gang called the Baseball Furies where they use baseball bats like ancients swords...This Movie was WAY ahead of it's time." And right now 2006 is IMO a good time to revive it. After all we do have the Mezco Toys, and the Game out, and some Warrior Themed shirts from Rockstar Games, too. And to be honest it's fairly ironic because today you have stuff like "Get Rich or Die Tryin'" being done and getting great reviews. While The Warriors is still an underground cult, and still (probably IDK) being regarded as a "film glorifying violence." It's the same way with A Clockwork Orange, it was shown only in 1971 (then the U.S. yadda-yadda) and only because of a few reported incidents it was pulled. And that's what Paramount did with The Warriors they pulled off the theatres (sp?) to avoid incidents involving gangs. It's kinda hard to believe that you'd be influenced to pick a fight because you saw Mike Beck or Jimmy Remar fight in a film. I too am sort of pissed off that this film did so great back then but is being ignored, like ACO and Alien, Or anyother cult favorite.
Keep in mind too...just because there's no Warriors product on the shelves doesn't mean that 'nobody cares about the Warriors." There are all kinds of licensing hoops you need to jump through to make product legally.
And a game has to be HUGE for it to spin off into a clothing line. GTA is way bigger than the Warriors game, but you're still not finding San Andreas shirts in the local JC Penny!
The problem (not really a problem, but you know) is that this is a Rated R film! You can't exactly market a film full of gangs, violence, and attempted rape to the buyers at Wal-Mart. They're just not going to let it on the shelves!
And where in CA are you basing this from? When the game was released there was a Baseball Fury billboard about two miles from my house. And of course the videogame stores had all the merchandising stuff out.
And why do te Blockbusters, etc have only one copy? Because it would not be cost effective to have a bunch of copies. it's a cult movie that is not the best ever made. It is entertaining but it is not an utterly fantastic film.

That's what Game Stop was invented for, and KB Toys, and Toys R Us. Besides I'd love to see McFarlane Toys do figures of The Warriors after all they do awesome stuff. Have you seen they're Movie Figures?
Dont get me wrong, scarface is awesome, im into the hole hip hop culture, but i would pick warriors better anyday ,anytime. Maybe kartoon could rap about the warriors and help us out.
(just my opinion)
