Kids like myself get interested in movies this old because they're better than the stuff that is being pumped out nowadays, and other reasons, such as curiosity, fame, seeing posters and stuff, or reccomendations. Hell, nobody made me watch the Warriors (my dad said he hated it, but he also said he hated Predator, and he watched it again recently and loved it), but I think I nearly exploded with joy when my copy arrived.
Yeah, a lot of old movies kick the arses and/or faces of the overrated shlockfests that exist these days. I'm 16, I hated Kill Bill, I hated Napoleon Dynamite, and I'm willing to admit it.
I really, really want to see Land of the Dead. Zombies = fun.

Actually, I heard about it on I love the 70s (thank you, vh1!!!) and I thought "That movie looks cool." Later on, when I was rotting around in my dad's laserdisc collection (does anyone remember laserdiscs, by the way?), I saw it and was like, "Yeah, I'm gonna watch this sometime"
So no one made me watch it, but even if they had, I'd probably still like it.
And I know, I should be going out, but my plans hardly ever work! Hopefully, I'll be able to get to 6 Flags next weekend so I can say I did something outside, and didn't just waste away in front of a computer screen!

Okay, no. That's just not cool, man! You tease me about Buffy, I gotta come down on you!

I just don't really get to see my friends much. But, I might be able to get out this weekend, so when I post on Saturday night, I will be as red as a lobster!
But my plans mostly consist of going to the movies with my friends, and I haven't gone to the movies in a long time...I don't go as much as I want to because it's so frikking expensive!

Quote"I don't go as much as I want to because it's so frikking expensive!" quote
Glad I am not the only one that thinks that. I used to wonder if it was my age, THANK YOU---now I know it's because it is too expensive, and I am not alone thinking that. LOL

You are cetainly not alone, Ranchgal. These days I either go to an afternoon matinee that is usually a couple of bucks cheaper or I go to one of the many second run theaters that are pretty cheap. Now don't get me started on concession prices!

How much is it to go to the cinema in America.
It cost me 4 pounds when i went to watch Star Wars a couple of weeks ago!
