We all knew this was going to eventually happen. This is just so depressing. I am just glad I was able to shoot my documentary before it was gone.

At least the wonder wheel will survive. I cant imagine how it will look stuck in the middle of some condo's.  I just hope coney isnt one big construction site for 09.

At least they're keeping the Wonder Wheel! I've yet to see it and I'm determined to go see Coney Island in 2009. Nothing will stop me!

Man, just think of the history Coney Island went through.  I mean even the greatest minds, like Sigmund Frued, and Carl Jung spent time there.  It truly captures the essence of time and history.  I even have old family photos from the 70's of the big Coney.

ooo man im sad to see it go we go there every year for holidays and to the amusement park im glad the wonder wheel is staying i hope it wont be a mess tis year

Man this majorly sucks. First, I doubt I'll ever get to see Coney, then, they tear down the park! Grrr It's frustrating enough that they tore down the bath house. This is just irratatiing!! All these developers who want to ruin the scenery for money!!

Well actually around me it's high priced, high income developments that are ruining the farm life. But as far as Coney goes, yes, it's not the fanciest place around, but it means something to us because of The Warriors. Man I hope I get to see it before it all goes down.

this is bad news-im in detroit anybody interested in making a vigil let me know.It seems like there is hardly anything left now from what we love so i need to see what little there is left

I'm never going to see the real Coney, totally gutted - it's a real stinker - '09 is far to late guys.
