Warriors playing Coney Island Film Festival on Sat. 9/29 ===

Post by StevenFallonNYC »

...I did a search to see if this was mentioned anywhere, I couldn't find it, my apologies if it was beforehand and I missed it.

The Warriors is having a special screening at Coney Island, Brooklyn, on Saturday, Sept. 29th at 10:30pm. It is part of the Coney Island Film Festival, and tickets are $10.00 each.

http://www.coneyislandfilmfestival.com/

For local area boppers, you can order them online, which they say is best as it'll sell out! I just got my tickets for myself and my gf, who is a huge Warriors fan herself!

Anyone interested in going? This will actually be the first time for me seeing The Warriors in a theater! I'm psyched baby!! I'll definitely take some pics and give a full report.

Oh I am so there...AGAIN!

I went last year dressed as a Lizzie-it called for proper attire but no one else showed up dressed but me and the host...there weren't alot of fans...not only did they show the movie but they also gave the audience a little quiz on the movie...local boppers shouldn't miss this!  :D

Really it wasn't a sellout? That's cool you dressed as a Lizzie :). I wish I had a vest or something, but I'll be there wth my trusty Warriors shirt. f I see a Lizzie there I'll come up and say hi!

i don't know if it was a sellout but it was a full house! and the little activities they had were pretty cool...imitate a specific line from the movie and a small quiz to see who the real fans are...and of course the main course...so if you see a Lizzie it would be nice to meet another fellow forum member...its a drag that the cast isn't expected to be there but other than that its not bad for a Saturday night  :D

I am not sure if I should go, I mean Ialready saw it on Big Screen, and got Michaels,Deborah, and David's autograph.  Since I have to pay, I don;t think so.  I am just in it for autographs, after all these great people will unfortunatley not be around forever.

your right Cyrus, but unfornuatley some kids come fro families, where $10 dollars can be vital, and they can't afford to loose a dime unless its on something that is a nessecity.  Plus I am sure they will charge for autographs, and its nor worth torturing yourself, so some just won't barther to go, you know what I mean.

they only seem to do this festival around the end of September to early October...did you go to the Netflix screening last year? it was in August and it was a bigger event....

but even for those locals who have some money left over and don't have much to do on a Saturday night should check it out..if you don't like it its alright don't try it next year...plus I'm sure that those $10 is helping them out...we're donating to keep their program running

Well its not so much the $10 bucks, but the price for autograps.  Sometimes it doesn't hurt to give a little something away for free.  Yeah I did go to the Netflix one, andthat one blew a whole right through my pocket.

Yeah from what I understand, the autographs at various conventions (like the huge "Chiller" one around here every year) are where you spend the real cash,. not so much on admission. I'd rather get a photo with a Warriors star than their autograph, but I'm sure I'll have to pay anyway.

Tonight's the night, I'll be wearing my colors (a Warriors shirt) and letchas know how the screening went :).

okay so I was there...Lizzie styling of course...I wasn't expecting the Warriors to show up...but I was pretty upset because last year's presentation was better...after the movie they had little activities like the tough talk guy contest and a warriors trivia to see who has Warrior knowledge and who stinks...all they did was play the movie...and thats it!!! and it was the same charge...total disappointment...

HOWEVER...I was amazed this year with the audience's reaction with scenes throughout the entire movie!!!!  for example the Furies scene...or of course when Luther does his little jingle

unless i missed something in the beginning...I got there when the movie was just starting

I loved the fact that I did see two gentlemen wearing Warriors vest...but it looked more like they might have made it themselves...which one of those guys were you Stevefallon?

okay I should bactrack alittle about the my last post...I may have been upset about this event...but I have to look at a better picture of it...there were other Warrior fans there...I hope other members can understand what what I'm to "say": its not everyday that you can gather more than a crowd of 20+ people to watch the movie with you...is it? its one thing when you're watching the movie by yourself but its something completely wild when there's a whole crowd watching the movie you love and they're enjoying themselves and having a great time!  :D so even if there weren't any other activities after and they only showed the movie it doesn't matter...its priceless

Can you dig it?

Amount for purchase of ticket: $10
Watch the movie with other fans: Priceless
okay I tried my best

I'm still wondering whether StevenFallonNYC was there or not?
