hey guys! i don't know if any of you guys know this, (well i know jamie, and a few others do.) but i'm the one that got dale at a-1 to redesign, and produce his new warriors vest's! 6 months, we worked on the design!! i got ahold of him after finding his website, with the old version of the warriors vest he had. i asked him, if he would be interested in making a better one, lol and he said yes!! and we went back and forth, i must have sent him about a million pix! the problem was the "diamond" pattern edging. he's just about got it perfect!! just about! since i helped with the design, the vest's i get are not the same as the public get's!! (sorry guys!) i have seen the new one's he's making, and he still doesn't have the patches just right, but close! as a matter of fact he's waiting to hear from me, to let him know what i think, before he goes full production! wanna see mine?? http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/fitngeagle/my_photos let me know what you guys think. the "vest" album lol (stay outta the other albums!!! kidding!! also, i'm gonna drag out all my warriors stuff tommorrow, and take some pix!!! those pix, we'll be in the "warriors stuff" album. you guys are in for a treat!!!

Vest

It looks great! I was surprised too. Unfortunalety I don't have my camera at this moment so I could post the picture, sorry. The price is $200.00 US-dollars, there is another one for $160.00, it just looks a bit different. I went for more expensive because it looks just like it. I would recomend the purchase for any Warrior fan. It does take a couple of weeks for the customer to receive the package, but it is worth the wait. Dale at A-1 American (Owner) is pretty cool as well, I was able to chat with him over the phone. They have all sizes, the vest comes neatly wrapped in plastic in a box, also comes with a small iron-on American flag patch in case you want to put it on the vest,.... I didn't. In overall the vest is worth it my friends, Paramount Pics. even approved it, so that tells you everything. 8)

yeah, the cheaper one, was the only one he had when i first contacted him. and he was very receptive to my idea's, on the new design. which was kool! he told me they had been working on the vest, for two years, before i got ahold of him. they were ready to give up! he didn't know about the site, or anything! we used pix, of the original vest's, from here and a few others i have been able to come across. yo, lion did ya see mine? the patches are different, than yours. let me ask ya, is the color of the leather, lighter than the one in my pix? i'm tryin to figure out if you got one of the new one's, or one of the one's we made from a cple month's ago. i have a new one from him i just got, this week, and he's waiting to hear from me, to tell him what i think. what do you think about the color? (the new one's are not as dark as the older one's.) he originaly started out making them with direct embroidery, instead of patches. but, i told them that the "real fans" would want the patches. so he switched. so guys, not to sound rude, but don't thank dale, thank me!! if i hadn't found him, and asked him if he would interestd in making a better, more exact version, of the warriors vest, we'd still be stuck with those crappy old ones he had! p.s. if you guys think i'm tellin stories, or tryin to take credit for something, i didn't do, check my old post's! or better yet ask dale at a-1 who "Mike DuMont" is!!

The vest

Post by Lion »

I saw your pictures, they are great! About the vest, you are right, my patches look different, not bad, but different, they are more close to the outline of the wings and the "pitbull" skull looks more menacing and the fire/flames look different too, the color to me looks the same as yours, it also looks as if your brand tag looks different than mine. I wish I had a freakin' scanner or those cool digital cameras to download pictures into my computer, I wish my computer was working at home for that matter, (it cought a virus) so I am the town library,... excuse my delay on my replies. I did noticed that the wings on the vest were closer at the top -where they meet- and in the movie, the wings are about 1/2 to 1 in. apart, also the diamonds on the outline of the vest look greyish in the film, mine are the same color as the vest. It is still a good vest. I am glad that you wrote about the vest "credit", thanks for having a voice and representing us here at the forum, you need the right aknowledgement. Where did you get the Furies jersey? I been looking for one, let me know. Later :D

Does anyone know where to get a Warriors vest that is good quality from a reputable dealer? I would like a real leather one even though the ones in the movie were vinyl I think.

At this point in time, There are no dealers that (officially) sell warriors vests.  Occasionally they might unearth the odd one in the warehouse and place it on ebay, but none will be sold from their website.

Your best option is to keep an eye open in the vest section in this forum.  Member "Godfather" is one of our ebay scouts and highlights anything worthwhile that is warriors related.

Theres also this guy .....
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190248082695&ssPageName=MERCOSI_VI_ROSI_PR4_PCN_BIX&refitem=190243228493&itemcount=4&refwidgetloc=closed_view_item&refwidgettype=osi_widget&_trksid=p284.m185&_trkparms=algo%3DSI%26its%3DI%26itu%3DCR%252BUCI%26otn%3D4%26ps%3D42

who sells a few.  He's an Ex member of this site.  His vests and patches are the same as what A1 used to sell.
My advice to anyone getting a vest off ebay; if the option is there, always choose "buy now", as the ending price has been far higher.

Ive looked into geting a custom vest made from a leather manufacturer, and for a one off item, it will cost more than what vests are selling for on ebay at the moment.
