Its definatly not a vest.  Its a denim jacket.  Some members still have the sleeves attached.
It seems to be random army insignia (rank stripes), harley davidson eagle on one of the members arms and some sort of name tag on the front. One member has a blue star in a white pentagon shape.  Another member has a military medal on his left pocket.  On one members right shoulder, it looks to be some sort of old military rank and division patch.

Back in the 70s, we called these "cutoffs"

Ideally, these were Levi jackets, sleeves removed, and worn over a leather jacket.

One very valid reason for this was if you really did need to disguise any affiliations (whether from the authorities, or other hostiles) you would remove the cutoff, and pop the leather jacket on over it - instant incognito!

i think the patches on the front of the turnbulls denim jackets are garages/motor/oil companys/car logos...the blue star one is the chrysler logo

one of those looks like a old CRYSLER/DODGE logo in blue.

Chris I think is right. I think they used automotive patches for the front that already existed, as well as other patches. One looks like a guitar, maybe that was the guy with the boom box.

That would make sense, being that the turnbulls are an auto club.

I don't know if he wanted me to post, but I am TOO syked for this. SANTANSMOTHER has sent me pics of the TURNBULL AC jacket. THEY LOOK AWSOME!!! For anyone who collects outfits like me, you will NOT be disappointed. The patch looks perfect. I think he is selling them as full jackets and if you want to mod it (cut the sleeves add patches etc) you can. I don't know when they will be posted, but be looking for it. I think he might have patches for the front (doge symbol etc) too. I can't wait to buy this.
