Nice. What about the front of the vest?
When i first got the vest, it was so stiff that it would actually stand up on its own, and it looked like a football (that weird grain pattern)

now, it's all soft and "drapey"

Looks great! I especially like the retro gold furniture it is on.

Color looks perfect now. I would take the piping off and remove the TAN. You would have the perfect color underneath now. I too would like to see how ya patches look.

first, i'm going to attempt to dye the tan, as it's a lot cheaper, and labor intensive!

Here's how the patches look now:

Upper left is BEFORE
Upper right, and lower left is without a flash, so they're not really that dark (to answer wg's question several posts ago, this is after submerging overnight in tea, and oiling the patches too!)
Lower left is what they look most like, but a bit brighter due to the flash

Must be down to the oil you've used, but whenever i take photos of my vests indoors and using the flash, they always look darker than what they actually are.

like what? dark and dull?

even though you were only joking, after i tea-stained, i did indeed oil the patches, along with the leather, for several weeks

I didn't want them to have any brightness whatsoever, and it seems to have worked!

Are you dying the whole vest or just the tan in the piping? What color are you going to dye it?
