were I not so composed and well-mannered, THIS would be an ideal place in which to reference tea-bagging, so as to return "the favor" usually foist upon me, 3C!

Re: SATANS MOTHERS VEST
I started modding my SATANS MOTHERS vest. Below is what I did:
I took 100 grit sand paper to the denim & patch. I like the "worn" look it gave . I then used ash and water to "dirty" the denim and the patch:

I also started to mod the patch based on this design:

I extended the snake's tail at the bottom and am fixing the strands of beard by it. I am modding the mouth and taking out the purple and gold string. I extended the ear. I added the scales on top of the head and added some more hair. I extended the snake on the left of the head but I still don't know what it is. It looks kind of like another snake's head, but I know there is a head to the right (that I have to work on).

I still have a ways to go and the light makes the paint on the patch a little worse then it actually looks. I think for display purposes this will work. I would like to hear what you guys/girls think.

Great job, as usual! I really like the way you transform the new jacket into something that looks like it's been worn for years. That gives it a proper authentic look.

Re: SATANS MOTHERS VEST
Are you doing anything to the nose?
Heres a rough sketch of the shape of the snakes head. Tongue sticking out is optional.

I added a bit more silver to the right side of the left eye on mine.
I like what you did with the fringe.
I still havn't got around to staining the white background yet.

Re: SATANS MOTHERS VEST
Thanks CYRUS vintaging these are my favorite part of collecting these. I try to think how it would look after wearing it daily for a number of years. With this, I figured they would be on the floor looking at their bikes, so it would be skuffed a lot and prity dirty. Still have some work to do.
9th, I was going to paint over the gold of the nose and reconstruct it black like the reference. Thanks for the snake it was going to be tricky cause it was blurry. I used the sand paper on the patch and it really beat it up and vintaged it. The photo does it no justice. The flick was taken with my iPhone so I will take it with my regular camera. The only think with using the sandpaper was it ripped the threadding that kept it on the jacket. I at first was pissed, but the fringed thread looks awsome and glue fixed the problem. I would suggest doing this and am thinking of doing it tithe other outfits, especially the ROUGES & ELWCTRIC ELIMINATORS Then tea stain, ash and water looks great.

i wonder if when it shows those satans mothers at the begining and on the trailer of the movie if one of them own this vest
and if you want a vintage look take a hand full of dirt thats dry and light as powder and throw it on it and blow on it, that will get in lookin vintage

Thanks WARGOD, I'll try it. The ash and a little bit of water is great too. Since we only see one (I believe) in the film, I wonder if only one FULLY MADE vest was produced and this is it. I recall seeing other conclave guests with denim vests and no patch.

Re: SATANS MOTHERS VEST
my friend has a pet chinchilla and it requires "dust baths". i always thought the chinchilla dust would be great for vintaging a vest
Re: SATANS MOTHERS VEST
I'd like to dust her chinchilla...
