I used a diamond hole punch, normally used for regular paper. Kinda like this one, http://www.amazon.com/Ek-Success-PSPWP4 ... B001EWR4K2.4nik8 wrote:howdja cut all the diamond shapes so evenly?Godfather wrote:The trim I did myself with leftover leather.

Thanks, coming from the guy who meticulously reviews all vests, it means alot (no joke). I dig the orphans t. Especially that you printed to logo in the middle of the shirt. Most shirts I've seen put it higher on the shoulders but the movie has it in the middle of the back of the shirt.Ninth Delegate wrote:Looks good. I still think some of the black border needs trimming off the ccWizard warbirds.

Is it kinda like, or this one. I wold like to know how big the diamond is on this punch. Also, was it difficult to use a PAPER punch on leather?Godfather wrote:I used a diamond hole punch, normally used for regular paper. Kinda like this one, http://www.amazon.com/Ek-Success-PSPWP4 ... The diamonds are about 1/2 inch. It is tough but it was lambskin: 1oz or about .025mm thickness. I just had to make sure that the leather was tight when I used the punch, and it doesn't come out straight but overall ok.

very good work on the latest vest, godfather. i can't find anything wrong w/ it! will you be wearing it or safekeeping it?
Re: home made warriors stuff
Thanks Iller, I'm always trying to find an excuse to wear it. But so far, besides not going out this halloween, it has been hanging in the closet. Maybe the doo-dah parade, but who knows.ILLER... wrote:very good work on the latest vest, godfather. i can't find anything wrong w/ it! will you be wearing it or safekeeping it?

I'm in the process of making an Orphans shirt. My first attempt was a disaster as the black dye agent I used was too runny and bled over the lines of the lettering. My second attempt will be cutting out the letters in black material then stitch them onto an olive green T-shirt.
maybe we'll get to waste a few heads along the way...
