Building a vest

So since I lost my job, I was unable to get a vest custom made. I bought a vest for $17 on ebay. It is missing the buttons, and has a lapel, but I am just showing the back, so it is ok. It may be a little narrow on the top, but my rocker fits nice on it. My war-bird was too big, so I bought one from CC WIZARD for a REALLY reasonable price. Let me know what you guys think:

The leather:

The back with the piping:

The front has some of the good piping and some of the bad (not enough space between the diamond and circles)but again I am displaying showing the back:

I will post when I apply the patches and mod it a little.

I think you've done good with the choice of colour of the leather.
Is that fold creases of the leather on both sides?
Looking good.  The blank piping with the vest showing through looks best.

RE: the ccwizards patch:  I think the black border is a little too wide, so you could think of the option of triming some excess black off before you apply it to your vest.

It is creases in the vest. I am like 85% sure now that there was nothing under the piping. No lighter leather underneath, just the vest.  I glued the piping on and put the glue directly on the vest because then it was easier to mold the piping around curves. With the glue dried under the piping, in some lighting, it looks like a lighter color under the piping. Sometimes even a light tan.  I think this is the way to go and the orange/brown color too, not the reddish brown.  Thanks for the advice 9th. I will cut it to correct size.

Looks pretty good! If you are just displaying the back, otherwise there are a few minor problems with the front.

I'd be more embarrassed thinking that "alot" is one word!

Just got my patches from CC WIZARD. Great quality. the war-bird fits perfectly but the rocker doesn't leave enough room, but fits. I have a question for all of you. Should I use the CC WIZARD rocker or my CANVAS rocker? Looking at it, I think the CC WIZARD. I'd like your opinions.

I would go for CC Wizard one, the shape looks better to me. Saying that, you're right, shame the length of it is not a little bit shorter.

Would you be able to trim a little of the white border from round the edge, make it a little smaller?
