Little work, some two tone maroon and dark brown dye and here is the look so far.  Still have a few more tweaks to do, but with a little work you can get these vests to look pretty sweet.. definetely hold me over until I start making them.

Yeah, I figured I'd let my 70's look come through with the stuble and messy hair, hehehe..  :)  No, it's a Mondotee's vest, which I dyed and made the patches a little dirty looking.  In some lights it looks red, other lights it looks maroon, dark brown etc.. I have one more coat of maroon to do on it, then it should be ready.

I will be making vests soon though.  ;)

I'm not sure if I'll be able to sell them with the patches.  My personal ones will be patched up and 100% accurate (minus it being leather instead of pleather) and I may offer some vests, but without patches, since it's the patches that is the copywrite issue.

Did some more staining of my vest and made it so the diamond trim wasn't so bright and basically made the vest look like it's been through some battles.  I think it looks much better then when I first got it.

Now just with WarriorCleon patches, that would be my favourite vest i've seen yet (except actual originals)

I'll have updates soon, I'm going to my Embroidery guy tomorrow to have the new patches attached.  I have to say I'm real happy with this vest.  I got 3 more friends to order them and we're starting our own Warriors sect.  Since we're from Orange County, we're going by the 'County Island Warriors', hehehe.

This pic was taken prior to the serious weathering ( ):

Nice! After seeing these I REALLY think that the patches on my A-1 are just too small proportionally. I have an XL....

What do you guys think...?

Even though that vest kicks arse, I can definetely see how bigger patches would make it look much better.
