What if Ajax was in charge?

If Ajax was in charge I don't think the Warriors would have made it back to Coney, they might have had a chance against some of the Turnbulls but even Ajax might have decided that they were way outnumbered, but only after taking heavy casualties would he possibly run. That does bring a question to mind, If one of The Warriors got wrecked badly, what would the rest of them do? Would they leave that Warrior behind or would they carry them off to safety? All the other gang members that got wrecked went down with their whole gang, ie: The Baseball Furies and The Punks. I hope Im not breaking any rules with this post, anyway peace!

Yep, I often wonder how much more different Walter Hill would have made the film if  Ajax had took over from Swan.

I love Ajax, but let's face it, he is a piece of meat and wild fighting animal. He was as dumb sin and would have got the warriors killed before the 20 minute mark of the movie!

Obviously, Ajax wanted to fight.  But, he never questioned the decisions to run from the Turnbulls or the Furies.  Yes, he preferred fighting, but he did seem to know that at times discretion was the better part of valor. 

I think what may have tripped him up would have been the Lizzies.  He wouldn't have expected anything from them.

To me Ajax seems more trying to make himself look tough instead of backing it up, in the script they talk of a tall member of a gang named the sports and one of the warriors says to ajax something along the lines of "yeah, ajax we all know you'd be the fastest one running away if he attacked us" memory doesn't serve me well but it was along those lines.

If Ajax was in charge Warriors probably would have made it back to Coney Island, beacuse Ajax is a good soldier. Warriors would be wreck some gangs and maybe would Ajax pick another way to Coney... who knows. They probably meet another gangs. Stronger or weakly.

I think that if ajax was in charge, they wouldnt have made it back to Coney island cus he isnt leader material but i seriously think that under his command they would have dealt some serious blows to other gangs before getting wasted themselves
