Re: why did cleon not go with the warriors?
I guess Cleon was (like most of you said) shocked, sad and disappointed.
Cause' in the beginning deleted scene, he sounds like he's really looking forward to the meeting.
But then at the meeting, Cyrus gets wasted, which just crushes Cleon.
Cleon goes over to check on Cyrus, the guy who called the meeting, the guy who preached to them, and the guy who would have changed the streets forever. But then Luther yells that The Warriors did it, so that the Riffs would waste them all and that means the Rogues wouldn't get caught.
I can understand why the Riffs killed Cleon immediately. They wanted to kill the guys who shot their leader, wouldn't you?

Re: why did cleon not go with the warriors?
As everyone has said, I too think it was a respect thing. He also probably wanted to gather as much information as he could for his Warriors before he spilt but he never got a chance to because of the blame falling on him.
As far as him not telling his Warriors what he was doing, in that situation I don't think he had enough time to tell them and then go and get to Cyrus. It just wasn't practical!

He is a leader and he felt a need to see what happened.

Re: why did cleon not go with the warriors?
This doesn't really answer why he didn't go, but more about why Luther picked him out. Right after he shots Cyrus, he see's that Fox saw him and aims towards him, then all the lights go on and everyone runs. So I think he knew Fox and Cleon were together (by there vests), hence blaming Cleon for the shooting so that the Riffs would have tag on the Warriors heads, clearing the Rogue.
New Guy here, surfed the site (which is awesome) often but finally got to registering.
My dad took me to see the movie in the theaters when I was 10, been hooked since, seeing through the 80's at midnight shows with "The song remains the same" and other kick ass cult flicks.
Great to be here!

Re: why did cleon not go with the warriors?
Well actually...they are Because the book is totally different to the film. The film is based on the book but not an exact replica. So yes in the Book thats what they're called.Jamesremar wrote: thats silly the warriors would never be called the dominators because the books called the warriors but im not going to judge you on your cleon idea or if its true its great

Re: why did cleon not go with the warriors?
I believe the title was just an overall reference to all the gang members. I think with a movie, they try to keep things simple so they don't get a lot of "Who were the Warriors?" questions.Jamesremar wrote: thats silly the warriors would never be called the dominators because the books called the warriors but im not going to judge you on your cleon idea or if its true its great
Which may explain why I still can't figure out the movie "Brazil".

Re: why did cleon not go with the warriors?
Haha, I just asking that myself. Well, Cleon mostly respect Cyrus, but if he goes with The Warriors, he would made to Coney.

Well, not necessarily.nightarmyWARRIOR wrote: Haha, I just asking that myself. Well, Cleon mostly respect Cyrus, but if he goes with The Warriors, he would made to Coney.
If he had gone with the rest of the warriors, swan wouldn't have led them, meaning that cleon could have led them differently. So, the decisions that he made could have got them wrecked etc.

Re: why did cleon not go with the warriors?
Walter Hill named them Warriors cause The Warriors are Soldiers "Par Excellence". Some Movie Details "relate" more to the Anabasi by Senofonte (Sol Yurick Novel's Inspiration) than to the Book.ProgFury wrote:I believe the title was just an overall reference to all the gang members. That Great Word, WARRIOR, "get" a Symbolic Meaning.

Re: why did cleon not go with the warriors?
It was because some things had to come to an end, Swan had to wish revenge on whoever DID shoot cyrus and got Cleon beaten up and...I don't know? Killed? Arrested?
the point is that Cleon had to die, so Swan could take over and get back to Coney, that's how the book, Game and Movie had it so that's what it is.

Re: why did cleon not go with the warriors?
What do you mean? NOT go. He didn't have any choice, Luther blamed it on him and got an elbow to the face. Then he got kicked by a riff and was probably killed, though the situation is difficult, Cleron should have died. :doubt:
Warrior 97 21. BOO! R u Scared, yet? I thought not. Edge rules, yo! FAN-FICTION DAWG!
