Hello all, what mainly drew me to this site is planning this Warrior Pilgrimage for my upcoming
trip to New York. I know of the areas and some of the trains, but I was wondering if anyone knew
of a mapped out path I could copy. I'd rather not have to go and google search every area to find
the streets they took and what not.
Basically this is one of my all time favorite movies and I'm planning to move to NY, I've been before
but I only stayed in Manhattan. I feel like this would be a good way to see the true New York and
walk the path they took in the movie. Haha
Thanks,
Chandler

Re: Warrior Pilgrimage
As far as a mapped out path goes, i'm not a native new yorker, so my knowledge is extremly limited.
Best I can do is give you a list that's been used by other members. You might want to check a few of them out on google street view to see if they are recognisable to you and if you want to skip any.
- Riverside Park between W 96th and 97th St. (conclave)
- W. 100th St. (Baseball Furies chase)
- W. 100th St. and Riverside Dr. (the big firefighters' memorial where they jumped over a park bench)
- around W. 99th and Riverside Dr. (the steps which the Furies chased the Warriors down) The 1 train runs through here (96th St. and 110th St. Cathedral Pkwy stations are close by)
- 72nd St. subway, where the Warriors and Furies first meet
- Speedy Lock and Door Co. on Avenue A, off E. 1st St. (candy store where Luther makes 1st phone call)
- little auto repair spot, NE corner of Great Jones St. and Bowery St. (gas station scene) Lower Eastside-2nd Av. station is closest to these. F and V stop here (V runs weekdays only)
- Union Square subway, where Punk follows Swan around
- 45th Rd. between 21st St. and 23rd St.(Queens), where they met the Orphans (take the 7 train to 45th Rd. Court House Square station) (the greeting card store, seen in the movie, is now a barber shop)
- Broadway Junction (Brooklyn), where the Turnbull ACs chased them (the A, C, J, and L trains stop here. The Z is rush hour only). I'm told that the station they were chased to no longer exists.
- walk up to Stewart St. and go right. When you get to the end, you'll see the pedestrian tunnel where the Warriors got out of the rain. To the left is Cooke Ct., where that wall is in that scene
- walk through the tunnel and you'll be heading right for the grave yard (Evergreen Cemetery). Hickory Knoll is where this scene was, and is near the entrance. The cemetery closes at 4:30pm.
- New Utrecht Av.- 62nd St. station (Brooklyn), where they ran from the Orphans after the explosion (the D, M and N trains stop here. The D and M run above the street, so, when you get off, follow the signs to these, if you're taking the N. The N runs through the cut). I didn't see much else that I recognized here.
- Hoyt-Schermerhorn subway (Brooklyn), where most subway station scenes were shot (the A, C, and G trains stop here). You probably won't be taking the G, since it runs between Queens and Brooklyn. It's the only train that doesn't go into Manhattan)
- And finally, the easiest to find; Coney Island. The arcades on bowery suffered an arson attack a couple of years ago, so i'm unsure how much it has changed.

Re: Warrior Pilgrimage
Wow thanks man, I'll watch the movie like 4 more times and print off a map of the area. I want to try to go the same way they did from the beginning to end as much as possible. I think there was a map on the video game so l check there too. This really helps a fucking lot though, you gave me the streets and trains and shit. Thanks yo!
