I like Ajax too and realize his purpose in the gang but I don't think anybody would have made it back if he would have been in charge...he's just not a very rational thinker and would have wanted to fight everything between Riverside Park and Coney Island.

Plus he's badass and doesnt take anything from anyone except Cleon. I think people dont give Ajax the credit he deserves. He was the one stayin behind to make sure everyone was there. He was going to fight the cop in the subway so that the other guys could get away.....etc.

I think the original name of "Lunkface" from the Sol Yurick novel would be fitting for Ajax...he looked like a "Lunkface", but he got the job done.

I loved Ajax! Part of that love might come from being such a big James Remar fan, but still. Ajax should have been Warchief, I agree.

I wish Ajax would have been more of a team player when Snow, Cowboy, and Swan tried to get him to go with them and leave the chic on the bench alone. That's a sad part of the movie for me.
