Warriors

I recently did a post on the opening scenes of the one great movie and how I interpreted it and how it had an effect one me.

The end of the movie as I'm sure all of you here have previously discussed, also is a great work of art. I am mainly commenting on the sont titled "In The City" By Joe Walsh. As I'm sure you all know as well he is one of the main guys in the very well known band "The Eagles".

Two years ago I went with some friends (Non-Warriors fans) to their concert out here in Australia and the whole time, I was waiting for them, even though it has been quite a number of years since the movie was made, out of some crazy chance to play that song. Though they didn't end up playing, I pretty much imagine they did because that was all I could think about. Haha sorry guys that might of been a little pointless but I just wanted to share that. :D

"In The City" as is the same with the rest of the sound track, is extremely well placed for its location through out the movie. The ending could of slightly been improved for me, by which I have already stated in "the renegades" post "What Would You Have Changed?". This song almost makes the entire story feel a little pointless as it talks about after all their hardship, that The Warriors get back To C.I. and they are not as happy and feeling as secure as they should be. I rekon that if this song was played sometime earlier in the movie, it would have been more relevant as it would of implied they were heading back to their turf, not at the end when they were where they wanted and needed to be and the song implying that there was still somewhere else to go/be that was better then home, only this movie was a one and only not a series.

Once again just opinion haha just putting it out there, I just wanna see what you guys think of not only this song but details into how effective this ending was. Sorry if this is a little more in-depth-but-the-same-thing as the renegades post.

Laters all

I think the end song does not fit with the message of the movie.
The warriors have fought all night to get back to Coney, they lost three of their gang along the way and the light hearted feel at the end of the movie does'nt feel right to me. In the last shot where the remaining warriors are walking down the beach they are playing with the waves and running around, which for me makes the ending seem a little weak in comparison to the rest of the fantastic film.

Hey, thanks man some good points, but it just SOUNDS light hearted, like music, but the words to the song man are pretty negative.. but futurely optimistic... like they say where they are atm.. is ok, they are happy.. but they all.. not want out.. but know there is more to have or be... and almost dying being in a gang every second day isnt that great
