true gem:) LOL, John Travolta's little brother...and we all know how Sean Penn's younger brother turned out.
And then there's Sly Stallone's younger bro, who sang the theme song to "First Blood".

Re: old school
i've had a look on Ebay for it, but only comes up with a copied copy. I watched the intro on youtube, really does look cheesy, can't wait to see it.

Re: old school
Maan, I finally got round to seeing this film Roadracers. It's great! I mean a bit rough n ready but a lot of fun with loads of style and great to see Rodriguez cutting his teeth before the Desperado and stuff. The soundtrack is so awesome, like all Link Wray <3 with some great rockabilly numbers - just the kinda stuff the band I'm in are in to these days. My favorite film featuring greasers is a low budget flick directed by Robert Rodriguiz (Too much effort to spell check his surname) that goes by the name of Road Racers.
Gotta give a shout out to Deathwish 3.
Is it just me, or does sly stallone look a lot like joey from friends in that pic? "Heyyy, how you do-in?"

It may be a coincidence, but i did get a greaser haircut the same day as watching this lol, but i think i might go a bit easier on the pomade!
So thanks for spreading the word about this awesome film!

Re: old school
My first ever band played at a high-school "battle of the Bands"
Since every other band was doing metal/hard rock, we opted for rockabilly!
We were Buddy Ebsen's Boogie-Woogie Playboys

Great selection Union_Jack!
Every one a classic in it's own right. Roadracers is pretty good too, and if you're into the greaser thing, check out a movie called The Loveless with Willem Dafoe and Robert Gordon (yep, that Robert Gordon). For a peak into gang life LA style, Mi Vida Loca is pretty good, as well as Boulevard Nights for a 70s version. I'm sure there are more that I can't seem to remember... Oh, A Clockwork Orange of course...

I haven't seen this movie Sunnyside. It looks good in movie review. John Travolta's bro? 1979? Oh, yeah... I'll see that one...

Re: old school
I think Deuces Wild is pretty cool.
An African American NYC gang movie, The Education of Sonny Carson (Real 70s gang leader is in it)
He was the leader of The Tomahawks in the movie and in the streets.
All the gang movies now are just lame and all alike.
PEOPLE NEED TO START MAKING GANG MOVIES THAT REFLECT ON THE 50s, 60s, 70s!!!
Especially with the technology now, can create good vibes.

Re: old school
Is that an alternative poster for the Switchblade sisters? Never seen that one before. I'm guessing this was for a video rental release (being that the film pre-dates the warriors by 4 years)
