just started reading this graphic novel from the library and i was blown away. been looking for ages for a graphic novel i could really get into.

its a really good mix of post-apoc hyper-reality and serious science fiction, with great characters and great humour thrown in, plus it looks ace.

its basically about the last man Yorick - and his (male) monkey, Ampersand - left alive after everything with a Y chromasone is wiped out but theres a great array of characters and stories going on and i understand enough about american politics for it to make sense and the jokes to work too

unfortunately i can only get the first and ninth book at my library so im probably gonna end up buying the b***ers  :doubt:

was wondering if anyone on here had checked it out, if not i cant recommend it more from what ive seen so far. heres a bit from near the start.

This frame (below) reminded me of the warriors (punks and lizzies) theres lots of good non warriors references in it actually.

Take heed this caveat: be careful searching lest ye uncover truths not yet realized

no, that's my obnoxious way of saying, "Dude, look out for spoilers!"

(but i'll take the Shakespearian reference as a compliment!)

good comeback! but yes we truly are master of the off topic.. though thats this boards idea i think we often take that out of context eh?

i thought it might be shakespeare (without really reading might i add) because of yorick and theres another character named after a shakespeare character thought maybe i was missing something but giving it some thought i know it was just aa bit zuuh. :p
