Question about bladed weapons

Post by JPSK »

Hey, I was thinking of drawing a scene where Luther is on the ground, holding a gun directly towards Swan's face, and yet Swan has a long bladed weapon.. like a sword.. but something more cheap and.. well gang like right at Luther's neck.. so it's like.. you know.. Slit the throat or, Pull the trigger scene

And my question is.. since it's kinda stupid to put a sword in that picture.. can anyone think.. of a long bladed weapon.. just in general which sort've has a 80s theme to it and something you'd expect to be attacked with, and all i can think about is a Machete, but maybe there's something else.. can anyone think of anything?

Deffinately a Lightsabre, Star Wars was well popular then!

Nah more seriously though, I'd say sumut like a Machete, Pointed peice of metal (like a fence or somethin), Peice of wood, Fire axe, Some kind of garden tool, or DIY thingy. I'm crap at this!

You could use some kind of bayonet. Before the modern day, they tended to be pretty long, especially the WW1 style ones. They were easy to get surplus, so it's not too unlikely for one to end up in the hands of a criminal. Failing that, a machete would work in a pinch too.

Well i know you said long but it could have like Swan throwing a switch-blade at luther and a bullet coming out of the gun?

Well answering your question all i can think of is a machete.

I think a machete would fit nicely, yet again, you could just stick to the original layout. Swan with switchblade, luther with gun. But yeah, machete would be good.

yeah, it ended up being a machete. I'm working on the Luther half of the picture.. plus I guess i'm gonna have to make this picture a bit.. more cartoony than i usually do cause i can't seem to draw Swan right -_-
