Today I got the comic

I just got back from NYCCC where I bought the 1st issue of the comic. First let me say I met the guys from DABEL BROS and Chris the artist and they are awsome guys and are very much in to this comic. The Dabel booth was 90% WARRIORS (they had an ad for an XBOX ARCADE WARRIORS BRAWL GAME. No other info on that tho). They had huge banners of the comic. I got the 4 differnt covers (regular cover, previews exclusive cover, photo cover and NYCCC exclusive cover of Cleon surounded by the RIFFS). The Guys were very nice and I had Chris sign my copy. I also bought the NYCC exclusive FURIES poster and let me tell you the pic that has been posted here does it NO justice. It is AWSOME!!! I also had that artist (the guy who does the GOON) sign my poster.The comic looks awsome and follows they story pretty much dead on. It leaves you off for the next issue. I was very pleased to see how much they love the movie and how much they want to keep it going. Chris reminded me about the AJAX issue that is being released for FREE COMIC DAY. Guys, please pick this comic up and support these guys because we can have a long running series if we do. Altogether, I think all will be pleased with the comic.

The regular cover was $4, the previews cover was $6, photo cover was $4 and the NYCC exclusive was $10.

Would have loved to pick up one of those signed posters.
And now I gotta look for one of the exclusive 4th covers.
Surprized a few more of you guys from NY did'nt show. Would love to see some pics. Maybe there on there way?
Good to hear you got to meet the guys and I agree support this guys. We need it to continue.

As I said, the poster is AWSOME. The FURIES is HUGE and the "blood" and "teeth" make it look menacing. I do not know if they are going to release the NYCC exclusive cover to the public. I am sure you can ask DABEL on their site. People are already selling the poster and set of the comics (all comics signed by Chris the artist). I don’t know the people selling, but I know that people I was with are looking to sell the 4 comics (one signed by Chris) and the poster (signed). They have two (2) sets.

I'm looking forward to the regular 5 issue run, but i'm dreading the hassle of getting the 8 page ajax comic. Thats the one that will fetch some money.

I called 3 different comicbook stores in my area and they don't have The Warriors comic yet and couldn't tell me when? I live on the west coast. Are comics released back east first?

they are released on FEB 18th. They were released early for NEW YORK CITY COMIC CON. U are going to have to wait a little while longer.

Sounds great, I didn't realise they were gonna do different cover's, I hope I can get hold of those.
I hope this Ajax special is gonna be available for most of us to buy, I'm gonna be well disapointed if there are only a couple of thousand made or soemthing stupid like that.

My personal favorite is the excusive Cleon cover; even tho i dont think it works as a selling point to people who dont know what the warriors is about. I might have to see if i can get the ajax comic direct from dabel bros

Tantive, comics come out on the 18th. They were released at New York Comic Con this past weeekend for people who went to the con. There will be three (3) differnt covers.
1) The regular cover
2) The PREVIEWS exclusive cover
3) The Photo Wrap Around cover
From Derek @ Dabel:
"Comic stores should get both of those covers. The third photo cover will be only available at those shops that order 25 copies. So the Rarest will be the photo cover.Derek Ruiz "
So the photo cover will be the one to get. There was a NYCC exclusive cover that is of Cleon surounded by the RIFFS. It says "Internet Exclusive Varient" but I do not know if it will be released. They said it was a Con exclusive but it might be available on the Dabel site when they are released. I hope this helps as I do not want to cause confusion.

I've been wondering where you were on this. Thinking for sure you being so close to the convention this last weekend you'd show up there and give us one of your famous impact posts on it.
Would have went for sure if it would have been in Chicago but it was more fitting to preview it in New York anyway.

I might check my local comic book store, that guy is always going to different comic conventions. I am sure he'll have them.
