hey guys!! i don't know if ya noticed, or not. but i haven't been around for a bit. been a little preoccupied. ya know all that crap everybody is always talking about identity theft, and protect yourself, and all that! YEAH, WELL, LISTEN!!!!!! because somebody got me!!! got to my bank accnt. through my pay-pal on e-bay!! they cleaned me out for about 8 grand!! now granted, i will get most of this money back, but the headache it caused is immeasureable!!! i got so much b.s. to go through, to get everything settled, it's not even funny!! by the way, if anybody on here has bought anything from me on e-bay, and you're waiting for it, be patient. i'm workin on it. my ebay accnt is all messed up as well, because of this. why don't these people get a job???!!!
Tried to give the devil my soul...

Sorry to hear that, SHM. I'm sure you'd like to see who did this to you face to face! I always thought PayPal was pretty safe. When you get some time let us know how you think this happened.

That is truly awful, and you did not deserve that!
Heey, that'd make a good movie...I can see it now...an ex-gang member, who has now grown up and become a.....some sort of honest and decent profession, for now we'll say bricklayer.....gets his identity stolen by a member of what used to be a rival gang, who wants revenge for...something.....
I just realized that I'm capitalizing on your misfortune, which is very very wrong. sorry.

OH SHM--I am so sorry that that happened to you! Some situations SUCK so much!
I worry about that happening too--to the point that when I decided to go with a paypal account--I opened a brand new one--just for that--and I transfer money from our real account into the paypal bank account to be transfered into paypal as I need it. Don't keep much of a balance there, just enough----I always thought I was being paranoid when I did that--NOW I am really glad I did---Your story makes me really sad though---you don't deserve that crap--NO one does---I am hoping they take the theft seriously enough to actually go after the guy.
I got my ebay account taken over once---they didn't use it buy anything--BUT they tried to sell stuff to people--but I got ahold of ebay quick enough to freeze the account till they could get it back to me.
I don't know--no one wants to be honest anymore!!
I just bought a set of old tv dvd's--and the box came really sealed with duct tape on one end---just found out when I opened it--that evidently someone stole the dvds, resealed the end with the duct tape, and sent me the empty disk envelops---150.00 ??? I paid for the guy to put insurance on it, but I don't know if he actually did, and I don't have the claim slip--so I am going to have to wait for him to email me back, and then go claim at the PO. hopefully.
Hope you get this whole mess straightened out---I am glad they do have insurance on their accounts. SIGH
