A question that needs a answer......

Post by Baby Bear »

I wanted to ask...Why is EMO here? What im trying to say is how did EMO originate? I doubt its the songs becuase anyone can make a emotional rock song about losing someone or whatever. But this style with teens how did they actually discover this?

Indeed. Plus, this one forum I go to, I sometimes get the feeling that I'm hated and nobody wants anything to do with me, and then I'm in a the chatroom for that forum and the co-admin kicks me out of the chat because he saying i'm being "emo" and I'm like :?

I have a nice house, although I wish I lived in something better, I don't slit my wrists, because it's plain idiotic, and just because someone crys doesn't mean they are emo!  :x I hate how people say that. I told someone that Jugband Blues by Pink Floyd is a very emotional song because it was Syd's last song with them and the kid was like "so it's an emo song?" and I'm like, "NO! It's just a very emotional song" and arguements ensue...

Yes I understand what you mean about the songs and the part about sliting wirst. Yes inflicting pain on yourself is dumb. But I think th reason for it is becuase EMO hate themselves due to things that they are insecure about them that they take seriously to the exetreme level.

Yes I hate when people call songs EMO. My favorite band is Called AFI. People vcall them EMO cuz they choose to make some of their songs emotional and sad. I know they've experimented with Gothic rock. But I highly doubt they are EMO.

i used to be an 'EMO' when i was in my teens (well im still 19 but im classed as an adult) anyway i never used to slit my wrist all i did was dress like then and listen to their music

theres nothing wrong with bieng an 'EMO' just like a 'CHAV' or a 'SKATER' or even just plain normal

i think these names are stupid you know like emo and chav etc, you are who you are you shudnt be put in a group for liking something, as far as emo's go, i think thats just made up rubbish, i personally hate chavs though, they use these names to best describe a whole group,

emo's =  depressive group
chavs = no respect for society

im sure you know the rest, but im 22 years old, i put a disturbed (the band) t-shirt on and got called a goth, i put this jumper on one day and got called a chav, i mean come one, i wouldnt say i fall into any of those, im just myself i dont come as a group,

im one of them who believes in individuality. i like rock music and i like dance music and what i ware is not same as emo chav etc they are just clothes like jeans jumper or t-shirt. any of u guys feel ppl put u in a group because they think they know it all ?
