Originals vs. Remakes

I've tried to search for this topic but haven't found any so here goes...

Curiosity killed the cat...

A lot of people say that the original version of The Warriors is much better than that of the L.A. style version for the Warriors...the question here is: Have there ever been "remakes" that came out better than the Originals or were the Originals better than the "remakes"...give your opinions on which movie was better whether the original or the remake...thanks

personally I liked the Amityville Horror remake better than the original. I love the walking tall remake but I have never seen the originals so I can't judge. I like the TCM remake but not as much as the original

The majority of the originals will always be the best.  CGI has taken control and has taken a lot of the magic away from films that are remade.
