N.O looks like hell guys, I hope Warriorchick is ok....if so then we still may not here for a while - power's out

No bud this is the worst hurricane in a few years. Alot of people probably arn't comming back after this one.

I have a friend who lives in Mississippi where the hurrican also hit. Haven't heard from him........

saw new orleans on the news, and it looks bad guys, if shes ok then we wont know until she gets a new computer. i also hear a few people died in the hurricane.

There are gonna be at least hundreds dead from Katrina. Already 100 + in Mississippi. They haven't even really started counting in New Orleans yet. Hopefully warriorchick and her family are OK. WHEN you get back here warriorchick let us know if you need anything. I will be first in line to help you out in anyway I can!

Seems to me these hurricanes are getting worse and casing more damage every year?

ok guys. was at work today. and i noticed a news paper. gave it a bit of a read, headlines read:

"LOST CITY

Thousands may be dead
Armed Looting"

it also said about flooding, and alligators and snakes in the water, even 2 sharks spotted.

i really hope Warriorchick is ok. the big easy looks like hell, man.

With this is mind will they rebuild New Orleans or will it just become a ghost town.

I must say I find it unbelievable how ineffective the response from the USA government has been. Justed watched a news reports where they interviewed an couple in their 70's who are living in a car and not eaten for 3 days.

Unfortunately I have to agree with you there. Billions and billions can be used for the war in Iraq and we can't even take care of our own people fast enough. Even Bush has now said relief effort is "not acceptable". God forbid something like this happens in more than one city at a time. Wouldn't feel too safe.
