Hey have any of you guys gotten emails from thieves in Africa (Cote D' Ivoire and Nigeria) asking for your help?  Something about they need your to help get 5 million dollars and if you help them they give you 1 or 2 mil.  These scam artists have sent me 2 emails so far, any of guys get them too.

On the last one I replied that I had reported them to the INTERPOL.

^^Pfft, I would ignore that crap they have. The computer is the best way to trick somebody with financial stuff. Thats one reason why I don't buy stuff like warrior figurines over the internet.

I'll do the same, I'll send the info to italian police and an italian tv show (Striscia la Notizia), unmaskering those people on tv!
What a people, those guys in Africa are really dying, and they think the dirty money... 1 or 2 mil back... well it's better I don't tell what I think... mods would immediately ban me!!! 8)

I got something simular this morning.  For the benifit of those that dont know what we're talking about, this is basically what you get.  If any members recognise the name when they see it in their inbox, you can report to your i.p as you delete it.  This helps to combat internet fraud.

What amazes me is that after all the things you read, warning you of these scams, theres still plenty of people out there that fall for it.  I make it a rule never to give my bank details to anyone (except for work because i want to get paid).

I think they get them, primarily cause they are a sorta internet "geni" (it's not a compliment!!!), and all of us have to look out 4 where it's really opportune to insert our personal data and e-mails. Yeah, you know when someone signs in a forum... well I'm almost sure that those wimps are closely related to some of these "strange" forums!!!
Anyway every Police "Internet" Division knows them and how to stop them, and so it's always better report these events every time there's a new "million" message!!! 8)

Right..If their dying then how can they give you money? I mean they should use that money for the children and themselves so they can have somethin' to eat and have a bigger and better roof over their heads! Even new clothes!!

Yeah I was reading about it the other day its become a major problem people have lost thousand of dollars from these scammers.I hope there caught.

It's funny, I just saw Dateline and they had a segment on this.  It's incredible how people actually fall for this crappola.  Chris Hansen has a blog on this as well.

Well, I know all of us already know what I'm saying... but today's world political "uncaring attitude" HELPS this bunch of wimps, and people ingenuity (and not only and always ingenuity) is sometime demoralizing...
... and I want to repeat... those guys r dying, day after day... so who really take care about them???

I saw the same thing. It's virtually impossible to prosecute any of them because it is all organized by huge groups of people (a gang if you will) with tons of people working for them sending out the e-mails from public library computers. Pretty amazing how much work goes into it.

Amazing how much evil-doers can get away with.  The thing is those countries don't give a damn who they exploid.
