Recount your weird/scary/funny experiences!

I don't recall a thread where we could just share stories in, so I took upon the grueling task of setting one up! Gather 'round, kiddies, Grandma's got a story for you.

Once upon a time, I went to the Renaissance Faire with my cousin. I decided to walk around with a sign that said "FREE HUGS!" in big letters. So we're walking about, I hugged a lot of people, and then I run into this really tall guy selling pickles, who runs over to me with open arms.

Pickle Dude: I can't resist a bargain!

He then proceeds to pick me up and spin around. I felt my legs fly out behind me.

Me: Er, you can put me down now.
Pickle Dude: Be careful what you advertise, lass!

Sometime later, I ran into him again and he decided to hug me again, and this time I got really dizzy so I stumbled after he put me down.

Pickle Dude: I made her swoon!

It was fun, except my sides ached afterward.

Now tell me a story! :D

*Shrugs* I dunno. Every time I wear the hug sign somewhere there's always at least one person who picks me up. XD I'm all "Wheee, I can see my house from here!"

I can't help but feel like if I answer that the wrong way I'm walking right into some kind of naughty joke. Either way, the answer is no, I didn't.

That which we call a pickle by any other name would taste as briny.

Even though I’m not above engaging in absurdist behavior, in this case I was legit

Given that yer in jersey, i assume you were referring to the Faire in Sterling Forest, Tuxedo NY

While (oops, whilst) there, i encountered a very tall pickle seller, from Bklyn, that was big what with the making of the funnies, and the twirling of the lasses

It was most likely him, he was pretty funny. The second time he saw me he was saying to his friend "Oh, she's probably scared of me now!"
Me: Uh, not really.
Pickle Dude: Then come here darling! *twirl!*
Me: Wheeeeee!
