i think if the warriors was ever made in britain birmingham would be one of the ideal cities with its multi cultured population.it has its own chinatown like many cities around the world.there is a large black population along with a large asian community as well as eastern european immigrants.

there are more than enough people to fill the gang numbers and hordes of people who are gangster wannabes.people who reckon they can take on the world. :D

It'd be hard to take those brummie accents seriously.

You're right though, Birmingham is big and multi-cultural and there are quite a few gangs there at the moment, like the Burger Bar Boys (insert wisecrack here). But most of them are cowards who use guns instead of fists, so there'd be no room for oldschool gang fights if the Warriors was set there.

I always thought that if The Warriors was set in England, it'd be a good idea to give it a football hooligan twist. So there'd be a group of footy fans who go to an away game, and have to bop their way back through London, via the Underground, with the fans of rival teams after them.

Baseball isn't very big over here, so they'd probably be called The Cricket Furies instead.

They'd beat the hell out of you, then stop for a tea break. :)

Sounds intriging, but I have no idea what cricket gear looks like. I'll throw in the union jack but not too complicated or I'll draw it crooked know I will.

I can just picture it. The UK Warriors run out of Kings Cross tube station and are greeted by the site of our Ashes winning team. Just hope Freddy or KP don't connect with their cricket bats or the number of Warrioirs that die might by much higher than scripted :)

Nothing wrong with london either....really gangster stuff goes on, the crays and all. This would be the place to hold the parallel.
