thats awsome. i thought it was supposed to have decayed badly but it actually aint in a bad state. is it open? does anyone know?

just a thought, is there any daytime shots of the big CI?

I'm going to New York for my 30th Next month and Coney Island is in my top 5 things to do. I will be taking photos and will add them to the net!

It is still open. I think it is only open in the spring and summer though. Alot of the old rides that you might have seen in the movies are closed down due to malfunctions. I know that the Wonder Wheel and the Cyclone are still there.

is it a holiday destination for you new yorkers or is there more theme parks? cuz when i was over there i didnt see anything like that.

It's not really a popular place like it used to be. Too many of the rides were breaking down and alot of people were getting injured or killed on them. Plus the area isn't that great either. Us New Yorker usually will go to Six Flags in New Jersey or to Rye Playland in Rye, NY.

cheers 4 the info snowball. i studied coney islands past in my history class. didnt the big CI used to be associated with the upper class back in the old days?

I'm not sure if it was ever upper class. I know that it was alot more popular back in the day though.

I was at Coney this weekend to take some pictures and the only props that I saw there is the Rockstar ad.
