Hi guys!!
I need to ask u guys a favor. I need an idea for a short film. It's for college.
Something simple, one location, one day shooting, cheap.
Just an idea...or the beggining of an idea. I'll take anything.

I directed a short last year, it sucked LOL I'll never show it to anybody  , but the experience was ok.
Anyway
I need to make another one, and I want to make something just a little bit better. And by that I mean, nothing complicated. Nobody understood the other one (myself included  ) because there was too much in the story. And we wanted to make the best short movie ever. It was my first, so, I lost control and it got pretty bad. Im pretty sure Im gonna be writing the story for this one too, sometimes all I need is a little bit of inspiration... I've been so busy and tired lately, I can't think of anything.
I just need a idea, something small and free of aspirations...

Depending on what type of short you want to do, go watch LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT and go from there. While it's a full length feature, I've always thought it could be made into a much more concise short that would/could leave the viewer wanting more...

But then again...what in the &^@# do I know???  :badgrin:

find a nice busy place, a mall, or park, foodcourt, etc.
someplace with benches, and table's, place's for people to sit.
someplace with a lot of activity.

and film a park bench, or table, whatever, and film ALL the people that sit on that park bench, that day.

then you narrate it, from the park bench's point of view.

all the people that have passed by it.

all the people it's met.

and all the people that have sat there, and rested.

and all the different story's, it's overheard.

about all the people, and all the different live's, the people have.

and the change's, the bench has seen, from it's time there.

and basicly the small, little, part of the world, that has passed by that bench.

and a small little look, into a lot of different people's live's.

from probably a lot of different background's.

I've always said that a movie or reality show could be made about this breakfast place we go to.  It's called the Waffle House.  It's your basic greasy spoon type place.  The food is fresh and good and it's always packed, even during nonbreakfast times.  But everytime we go there is a free show provided by the staff.  They're not performers but boy do they have drama.  They're are always two fights going on in that place.  The cooks yell at the wait staff and the wait staff yells at itself.  Yet, they manage to have very fast service.  The kitchen is right there in the open so there is nothing behind the scenes.  They have this system of getting plates ready that seems complicated but seems to work.  Well, good luck with your film.

OMG! That's like, really cool. Never heard anything quite like that, it sounds pretty sweet. It should mention Ajax's atempted.. well you know lol. OW! My cat just bit my nose. LOL
