anyone here ever gotten surgery

had anyone ever gotten surgery before???
i have to get it in my knee in a couple weeks cause i tore somthin playin football and im scared to death
like what if i wake up from the gas and the surgens just slicing into my leg!!!

I had my knee scoped back when I played in high school. It was mainly the reason I didn't get to play in college.
Are you getting scoped, or is this like a major reconstruction job? If it's a scope, you won't even be unconscious. They give you an epidural in you're spine & you don't feel anything from the waist down. Then they make a very small cut and go in with a tube that has a camera & do all the work.
When the epidural wears off, you'll be in pain, but they give plenty of pills for that. Rehab is going to be the worst.

its a reconstruction job i think, i tore somthin inside my knee so they have to like laser it or somthin
but whats so bad about rehab?
alot of my friends have had major surguries one even had his kidney explode! so im better off then him

Don't worry you ain't gonna wake up. Afterwards you gotta put all the effort at rehab. You, no one else can do it. And make SURE they keep an eye on infections and other stuff that can develop.

I just had stiches but nothing major and I hope I never do.

I got doped up pretty good when they had to reset my wrist, good times, but pain when I got my head together. That's what the advil's for.

i been awake for all mine!!!
let's see..................... recently had a cheekbone put back together.
(had the other one put back together, when i was about 17, or so.)
had my right knee put back together.
(2 bullet's)
the dr did a pretty fair job, considering what he had to work with.
2 hole's on one side, one big one in the middle, and one more on the inside.
still hurts when it rain's.
thats it as far as "surgery's"
lots, and lot's, of stitches though.
and broken bone's.

No wonder you earn that name SHM. My dad was simalr but went to Vietnam War and had to get opertated on the spot on his knee. The he joined the black perals but hasent really told me. Seen scars before

i've had a large piece of steel taken out of the side of my head then had the whole stitched up with 23 stitches.at around the same time i had my right collarbone reset after it was broken in a car crash.
numerous times had local anastethic to have teeth out.also coming to a hospital near you soon verm 76 loses 8 teeth so yep theres more surgery on the cards for me

Had my appendix taken out had surgery on my shoulder from football had it on my knee from trying to lay flat solid under a bus (my leg was hanging out sideways)
