I was wondering, in the state or country you are, are you really how people think you are?
EX: Here in texas we are known as cowboys, but there is barely any people that dress as cowboys here. Another ex: in paris, people are known to have those two line mustache and have those striped shirts.

So the question your asking is are we similar to the stereotypical insults thrown at us by other countries?

Well I'm canadian and I guess were known to be friendly and passive and I guess that fits my personality. I like to think I atleast try to treat everyone I meet the way I would like to be treated. I know when 911 happened my town was volunteering like crazy to take in ppl whose flights were diverted to the Halifax airport about an hour from here and my dad drove hos school bus to help pick them up. Also the schools were made into makeshift hostils for those poor ppl who didnt really understand what was going on. I don't know if this is because we are candian or not but I am not so sure. I have lived in the US and have visited other countries and found that most ppl welcomed my me, I think some places get stereotyped because ppl pick something and then expect it of everyone.

Hope this kinda answers the question, just thought it was an interesting question that got me thinking.

People think that folks in California are fruits and nuts.  While there are some of those here, and everywhere, most people here are very mellow and laid back and easy going.
