Steve Erwin died today when a sting ray got him during a diving expedition, he was 44. I knew this guy was going to end up killing himself doing this stuff.....

I think everybody thought that, but he did know what he was doing... I heard on the news the sting ray attacked him whilst he was filming by piercing him through his heart with them stingy things they have. He died instantly..
Hes left a wife and 2 children behind  :(
I enjoyed watching his shows he made me laugh sooo much.

I don't mean to sound insensitive about all this ya know, but there is an old saying "if you play with fire, you'll get burned" same goes for this he knew the dangers of the things he did, but he did them any way. it's what he loved to do. I just feel sorry for the kids

I was barely going to make a topic about this. Just another dark death in society. I went to wal mart today and they were talking about his death, i was walking the streets and i saw the news on the newspapers. At least he was known, a lot of kids and people are diying in these society, and they have a history too, but nobody talks about them only their family members. Theire soul just dissapers in the wind, and are only remeber by few(including their family members). At least this brave explorer will be remeber as a guy that had guts. Im such a wimp when it comes to deaths..., even if i didnt watch the guy that much i cant help to fell very sad about it. I mean he wresteled with crocodiles, and a sting ray killed him??

Fatally injured "Crocodile Hunter" Steve Irwin pulled a stingray's serrated barb from his chest before he lost consciousness and died.

Marine experts say stingrays can deliver horrific, agonising injuries from the toxin-laden barbs, which can measure up to 20 cm (8 in) in length and cause injuries like a knife or bayonet.

"It's not the going in that causes the damage, it's the coming out where those deep serrations kind of pull on the flesh, and you end up with a very jagged tear which is quite a pronounced injury,"

Apparently if he left the barb in his chest his chances of survival would have been much greater.
