Remember Remember the fifth of November..........

Seeing a fireworks display....in the UK? Where?
Do you still build a bonfire and burn the 'guy' ?

Nowadays I normally go see the fireworks display at the end of Clacton Pier, as that's the nearest and you don't have to pay!

Many years back (when fireworks were FIREWORKS!), my family would have bonfire night parties where everyone would bring there own rockets, bangers, catherine wheels etc. and we'd let them all off in the back garden. There was always that element of danger, but that made it even more exciting!  :twisted:
We always had a 'guy' to burn on the bonfire at the end too.

You don't really see many guys about now do you? Come to think of it, I don't think I've seen ANY in donkey's years!

Maybe they've banned it like they do everything else?!  :lol:

it probably is illegal, all these stupid safety rules. people probably think it disturbs kids and gives them ideas ::) :lol:

Theres loads of scrubbers round hear penny for the guyin. It is illegal cause they have a sign in tesco's window sayin its illegal.
I don't go anywhere on bonfire night , last time some chav started shootin fireworks at all these kids so i'm a bit anxious.
