He died today at 73, from pnemonia. He was a great inspiration in music in the past and today. He was and always will be the "Godfather Of Soul", he will be missed. R.I.P. James Brown 1933-2006.

i felt sick when i heard the news... to think i passed up on an opportunity to see him live because of work  ](*,) ...

I wasnt trying to be funny, i was laughing to myself that my mom was going to go see him in a few weeks, but now she cant.

I'm new on this board,(but not new to them entirely) and he already talked down on me, in another folder. People get pleasure out of these things I guess.

That wasn't an insult, but thanks MiddleMan, I'll take that on board. 

Its a shame for any of us who missed James Brown's last perfomance.

There will never be another and I Hope you rest in peace.

This guy was a man among men.  He will go down in history and we will never forget him.  No doubt are they going to make a movie on him, like they did with Ali, and Ray Charles.  May he rest in piece.
