im am kind of scared of the statements given about this date some say that the world will end

People have been saying that the world will end since the beginning of time. Their reasoning this time is "OMG THE MAYAN CALENDAR ENDS!!!11!1" Well, it has to end somewhere, and they just happened to say "Screw it" when they got to 2012.

So no, I am not worried about it. I figure that it will just be another prophecy that doesn't come true, possibly with some mass suicides thrown in.

Amen to that, GR.  Every week when you go into a store that sells tabloids, it seems, there's some 'exact' date that the world will end.  Like, I remember seeing these since the 80s... as a matter of fact, I specifically remember seeing one such tabloid last year, saying the world was gonna end 11-07-06!  Sure, all good things come to an end, so, furiesunleahed, just live and enjoy the day now, make the most of it.  Hey, remember Y2K?  Just gives people stuff to talk about, I guess...

Well I've heard this on some history about the Mayan Calendar. Like Gramercyriff said its probably a prohecy that won't come true. If it somehow does I won't worry cuz thats the day when god retrieve all his believers and take them to heaven.


Overally Im not worried at all.

So live in the moment and live free, if the world ends in 2012, ahh well, we've all had a good run.
And those too young to not have had a good run wont remember anything will they.

nah its crap, ppl always say its gona end, like the year 1997 and the year 2000 its all crap, people make it up it aint gona end at all so i wudnt worry about it lads, just ideas in your head ppl have been saying it for years about different dates its silly to be honest anything can happen at any time theres no set date at all

Yeah i remember my dad bein scared cause people were sayin it ended in 1980, 1990 and 2000. Now this 2012 crap? we got some stupid scientist if they were wrong three times out of three now.

people said the world would end on 06/06/2006 and did it, no! it will never end. well unless there's a huge nuclear war, or the sun explodes, or the polar ice caps melt and drown us all. so i guess the world could end but i'm pretty sure it wont just because a calendar ends

like a said there is no set date happens when it happens, probs wont be in our lifetime anyway takes years for ice to melt wen dunt take ages to melt but will take years to flood everything, unless theres a nuclear war the only thing u need to worry about is life:P

Well I guess I better have my kicks before this whole house full of crapola goes down in flames.

I doubt it's gonna end by flooding i have my own beleifs of why it won't end with flooding. If the polar ice caps melt i think it will probaly jus gorge around the U.S.A.. But gotta live life to the fullest.
