Yeah, I noticed this. It looks good, and hopefully more banners get put up at some point.
Nice work War Chief! 8)

Thanks! I'll try and add a few more soon. I'm doing little updates here and there as I've neglected it a bit recently

Digging the black theme on the forum. Reminds me of how this place used to look back in the day.

Glad you like it. I've also fixed the smilies as well which weren't working. Next thing is to fix the spammers who still seems to be registering!

We've had over 100 register in the past month. Most of them havn't returned or made posts.
The new post indicator at the side of the thread is working fine.

Have I missed an option somewhere that lets me select the old design, or is it gone for good?

Two things. First off, the forum is currently more aesthetically appealing than I've ever seen it. Seriously, this is a damn nice theme you've thrown together.
Second, re: spammers, I saw something on another forum that may help us. Have you ever considered making it so that one needs to answer an extremely simple question before registering? Not like a captcha (though that would also help I'd imagine) but just a simple question that requires actual thought that a spambot can't handle. For example, "what is two plus two". I've seen it done before, and it'll definitely cut down on the spambots because, like I said, it requires an actual physical brain to register.

If you want to use the old layout, you can select it from within your User Control Panel under Board Preferences. It is called SE Square Left.
Regarding the spam I think we have a captcha but I think the bots are getting around it so I will investigate some plugins we can use.
