Good God I loved Happy Days, this show came up with some of the strangest and yet coolest characters on the planet.
Happy Days was a show that first aired in1974 and went on for ten years, the show prensented a vision of the american life in the 1950's, you know with all the old diners and jukeboxes that would never work. Now the 50's is sterotypically remembered as the graser age, well you'd need to include a greaser in a fifties show right?
Oh trust me they do, but they included the coolest guy people still remember today, ladies and gentlemen I give you The Fonz

Fonzie had many catchphrases on the show but his most famous would be the way he greeted people or when he was being cool, he'd put out his thumbs twist his head and say "Ayyyyyy"
Now the show didn't revolve around this character although he is one of the most remembered, the show was about a family therefore portraying the whole of family life in the fifties.
The family consists of Howard, a hardware store owner, Marion, his homemaker wife, and the couple's teenage children, Richie (who has an optimistic if somewhat naive outlook on life), Richie's sweet and beautiful but feisty and clumsy younger sister Joanie, and Richie's older brother Chuck (a character who abruptly disappeared during the second season). Most of the early episodes revolve around Richie (often with his best friend Potsie); as the series progressed, more and more stories were written to revolve around Arthur "Fonzie" Fonzarelli, who was originally portrayed as a local dropout but soon befriended Richie and family, and became as I said a huge hit with viewers. The focus would also occasionally shift to other additional characters, such as Fonzie's cousin Chachi, who became a love interest for Joanie Cunningham.
Now as the series grew on it would highlight some important event that wentthrough the fifties and the show later came on portraying some of the sxties events. Certain events shown were for example, the second season episode "The Not Making of the President" revolves around the 1956 presidential election.
In the sixth season an episode called "Christmas time" ended saying Christmas 1960 and in the 10th season episode "Babysitting" Fonzie watches the first heavyweight championship fight between Cassius Clay and Sonny Liston on television.
All events people at that time would have remembered and related to. The show ended in 1984 but if you know the right channels you can still find it today.
I was watching digital flipping through the channels when I find a channel called "Channel Five US" (I live in England these days) I decide to see what's going on and what do I catch but an episode of Happy Days, I immediately shout out "YAAAAAAS" in my happiness as this show is one I cherished, I now watch some of the old episodes on this channel and remember the dare I say it Happy Days I had watching this show, if you know where toget these series of Happy Days I suggest you check them out, it's an awesome show and there's just one more thing I need to say
Hitting a Jukebox does not make it work unless you are The Fonz
