I'm assuming this hasn't been popped in your mail box yet? I'm still on the fence for ordering this. Need some positive feedback before I choose to buy.

Re: Copy of THE WARRIORS with the TV scenes incorporated back in
1) Q: "are the scenes re-inserted to the movie or just before the actual movie?"[/b]
A: The scenes have been seamlessly spliced back into the original "theatrical version",
I would not say seamless, but this is not the fault of the DVD creator. With the exception of the Punks/bathroom sequence, the deleted scenes don't seem to have been edited the same way as the main film to allow a seamless transition. That said, it does flow well enough so that it did not deter from the overall experience
However since the extended Prime-Time Network TV footage was originally
in fullscreen to begin with, the scenes have been "matted"/letterboxed to match
the rest of the film's original widescreen aspect ratio. There's a special features
section on the disc's menu where you can view the extended scenes
seperately in fullscreen too, so you can compare them. So the recap, the extended
TV footage can be found both - spliced back into the film and letterboxed to match
whole feature, or you can view the extended scenes seperately in the special
features in fullscreen.
This matting does make you lose some stuff along the edges, but not enough to be truly irksome. And, as he states, the fullscreen is available in the Extras section
2) Q: "Also, what is the quality? VHS quality? DVD?"
A: I'd be B.S. you if I told the that extended Prime-Time TV footage looked as good as
the rest of the footage - that being the rest of the footage used from the "original
theatrical version" is from the first DVD release - because it is not. It appears to be
first gen VHS (but an analog cable source) from someone who taped it back in the
the late 80's or early 90's. So there is a definite variation between the main movie
itself and the re-inserted extended footage. The extended footage is a tad grainy
(again being from an obvious analog cable source, and not digital), and the colors
are bit washed out, however asides those obvious imperfections, the footage and
audio have been seamlessly looped, synched, and letterboxed to match the film
perfectly.
This graininess, coupled with the lighter colors, can be a bit jarring - also the sound quality is noticeably different, but again, not enough to be annoying
HOWEVER, the seller has hit on a very interesting method with a price of 7.99. as it's well enough below the standard price break structure of 9.99, to make it seem practically inconsequential (and there's even a cheaper $4 version, which doesn't include the packaging)
So, my 4nikss8ment: get it! (Cleon always looks so strange without that rag on his head!)

I've took the plunge and gave in to temptation. This will be my seventh copy of the film. Hey, you can't get enough of a good thing. Plus I like their choice for the image of the dvd cover.

Re: Copy of THE WARRIORS with the TV scenes incorporated back in
Got it through the post this morning and watched it tonight. The deleted scenes have been put back in place well, but the picture quality is a washed out pale colour and grainy. Its not first gen vhs. I recoreded the deleted daytime scene from the bbc2 showing and converted it to a wmv file via the tv card in the back of my pc and got a better picture quality than whats on this dvd. That being said, its still worthwhile getting, as its the only full length version out there.
