Baseball Furies Chase, I found weird.

You probably expected something different.. But I find weird is that Thurman *Yellow & Black face painted Furie) is chasing them, his bat is in a weird angle, he has his hand holding the bat with the palm while the bat is in a straight position under his arm pit. I always replay that scene to look closely to how he is actually holding the bat, did anyone actually recognize this? Am I the only one. :S

yup, i believe it makes it easier to run with it. if you hold the bat and swing it back and forth to the rhythm of your run, your hand and arm will eventually get tired, specially in this case. by putting the bat on your arm, it reduces the weight, since your whole arm is carrying the weight and not just your hand.
