How could he prove what he was saying? There's really no way that doesn't require a leap of faith from Masai. Now, on the beach, there was some better proof.

Just been reading the original script again. There's a gang that get mentioned twice but are not on the large list of conclave gangs. They are from the sol yuric novel and go by the name of The Masai. Mercy mentions them about being next to invade the orphans turf; and later, when the witness is being brought forward to the new Riffs leader, the witness is described as being a masai.
Obviously things changed from script to film.

well at the meeting you can see a dude with a eagle on his golden jacket the snitch
had a eagle tattooed on him
